Regular massage can help improve the quality of people’s lives, from reducing stress and improving energy levels to easing back and other musculoskeletal pain. However, the quality can vary enormously or be limited to the once-in-a-while expensive treat at a destination location, and unless medically necessary due to sports injuries or rehabilitation, it’s hard for many to justify having it more regularly.
But that’s in the past now thanks to a new concept in massage treatments introduced to the UK by The Massage Company.
The Massage Company is bringing regular, high-quality massage membership to UK towns to transform it from the occasional or a treat to a routine and vital part of a better and balanced lifestyle.
The company opens its first centre in Camberley on Pembroke Broadway (under the Travelodge, by Camberley station) on 18th March 2016, complete with 14 treatment rooms over two floors in a newly designed and created space for its customers and locally employed staff. The location is convenient for access from surrounding residential areas, as well as being convenient for the town centre workforce and LoveCamberley BID businesses.
Fitting in with its customers’ lives, The Massage Company will be open seven days per week, from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 9 pm Friday, 8 am to 8 pm Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm Sunday. Treatments can be booked online via the www.massagecompany.co.uk website, by phone or in person.
The Massage Company has re-thought the way people should consume massage. Each customer journey has been created to be as straightforward as possible with a simple selection of four massage treatments:
- Deep Tissue
- Maternity (including 1st trimester customers) with 4 optional treatment upgrades:
- Hot Stones
- Scalp Massage
- Our unique ‘Fantastic Foot Treatment’
Pricing is reasonable, with an introductory 50-minute massage costing £39.95 and membership starting from £44.95 per month for a 50-minute massage each month. Flexible (no contract) membership is also available at £54.95 per month and will be a consideration for those wanting a shorter commitment.
Specific arrangements are available for corporate organisations keen to invest in the wellbeing of their teams, and added value arrangements will apply for the staff at the Royal Military Academy at nearby Sandhurst, as well as the NHS and other organisations locally.
Announcing the launch of The Massage Company, co-Founder, Charlie Thompson says “The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and also the NHS now recognise some massage treatment as an effective and appropriate treatment for lower back pain. But for most, massage is still occasional, often of mediocre quality and frequently expensive. We’re changing that!
We have developed with John Holman (our Director of Massage Training), the detailed and innovative ‘Massage Company Training Programme’, which is fully certified and enables our team to develop their skills to the highest level. In developing this, not only are we confident of giving our customers the best massages they will ever experience but we have also created techniques to protect the joints and health of our therapists, therefore giving them a long term career rather than burn-out or injury.”
