The Mall, Camberley has called for Christmas shoppers to support independent businesses in the town by shopping local this Small Business Saturday on Saturday 5th December.
Small Business Saturday is a national campaign which was launched in the UK two years ago to support, inspire and promote small businesses. The initiative uses the first Saturday in December to encourage communities to recognise the contribution smaller companies make to local areas. Last year the initiative boosted the UK economy by £504 million and it is hoped this year will break that record.
The Mall Camberley includes 15 independent businesses including Kokoro, Serenity and Frenchies. On December 5th, many of these retailers will celebrate Small Business Saturday.
Glen Fulton, General Manager of The Mall Camberley, commented: “Independent companies in Camberley are a valued and important part of our community. Supporting a local business means supporting local employment and maintaining the services they offer in Camberley. Money spent with a local business is also usually returned to the local community. We are looking forward to a great day on the 5th December.”
