Representatives from over 80 local businesses in Surrey Heath sat down to breakfast at Camberley Theatre on Friday morning (25 September) for Surrey Heath Borough Council's biannual Business Breakfast meeting.
The event enables businesses in the bor?ough to netwo?rk with one another, find out new information and listen to guest speakers.
Council Leader Cllr Moira Gibson kicked off the event by introducing a new #LoveCamberley video featuring highlights from this summer’s Car Show held in the town centre.
The first of three speakers was Valerie White, Chair of Bagshot Village Association. Valerie underlined the wide range of businesses in the village and its variety of choice for customers.
Next up was Noamaan Siddiqi, Director at Frazer-Nash, based in Mytchett. His presentation focused on the company being involved both technically and commercially in developing new low-emission and energy efficient cars.
Janet Preston, Trustee and Chairman of the TeenTech Surrey Steering Committee was the third and final speaker. She explained how TeenTech runs lively events to encourage young teenagers see the wide range of career possibilities in Science, Engineering and Technology.
The meeting concluded with a question and answer session, followed by networking in the conference room which included more than a dozen exhibitors.
Cllr Moira Gibson said: “Local businesses always benefit from this event and it continues to go from strength to strength. The presentations were a good mix, embracing technology and showing all the great things happening to support business in our borough.”
