Business advice that supports the entire business journey and focuses around the needs of local entrepreneurs is ready and available for any business in Surrey Heath.
Working in partnership, Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Chambers of Commerce and Basepoint Business Centres, are set to offer all local companies and potential companies the chance to meet with experienced professional advisors to get tailored advice on their business.
Surrey Chambers of Commerce, working with trained advisors from Branduin Business Support, are delivering subsidised advice for any company. Depending on the needs of the business, one hour sessions or on-site visits will be available.
Thanks to additional support from Basepoint Business Centres and Surrey Heath Borough Council, the Chambers will also be able to deliver complimentary Start-up clinics. Keen to develop new local companies, the partnership will be helping the entrepreneurs and employers of the future.
To further enhance the offer, the one hour advice sessions and start up clinics will take place at Basepoint’s offices in the centre of Camberley. Louise Punter, Chief Executive of Surrey Chambers of Commerce said: “The number of start ups are still growing within the economy and we all know that the better help they get at the start of their business the more likely they are to succeed.”
Surrey Heath Borough Council’s Chief Executive, Karen Whelan said: “Surrey Heath is very much open for business. I am delighted the council is working with the Chambers and Basepoint on this new scheme. It shows that when the public and private sectors work together we can deliver really great benefits for the local community. Similar schemes in other areas have supported over 200 businesses in the past three years, and we want to see the same sort of success rate in Surrey Heath.”
Setting out her company’s involvement, Camberley’s Basepoint Business Centre manager, Lisa Rollings said: “We have all sorts of businesses interested in taking office space with Basepoint. Whether they’re already trading and just want to stop and take stock, or are thinking of moving out of their home study, or kitchen and taking the plunge by getting their own office, one thing they all need is good business advice. Someone who’s been there, seen it and done it and is able to point them in the right direction. We’re really pleased to be able to support this scheme.”
Surrey Chambers business advice is due to commence in June, and will run from the Basepoint offices in Camberley. To sign up for a clinic or business review contact email@example.com or call 01483 735540.
