Classic soul and dance tunes from the 70s and 80s were aired at a 20th anniversary reunion of Ragamuffins clubbers in Camberley.
The reunion, held at The Cambridge Hotel in the High Street last Friday (September 25), attracted more than 350 ‘Rags ravers’ who used to flock to the nightclub every week until it shut down in 1995.
The sold out event was organised by former Ragamuffins DJ Keith Connors, who was joined on the decks by DJs Kevin A and Dell Summers.
The trio played tracks by The Jacksons, Edwin Starr, Kool and the Gang, Whitney Houston and other big names. Mr Connors said he was amazed at the response from nostalgic partygoers.
“We had to close the doors at 11pm, so it really was like being back in the original Ragamuffins nightclub,” he said.
“The atmosphere was so lively, with everyone dancing around and having the time of their lives.
“The party just kept going, so much so that the night was extended due to a packed dancefloor which never really emptied.”
Among the ravers was Bob Stevens, who said: “It was great to see everyone. The whole night reminded me of the best days.
"Rags was a real one-off, and it’s where I met my wife. I’m looking forward to the next reunion.”
Mr Connors said the night was such a hit that he is planning to hold another reunion in March or April next year.

“Many thanks to everyone for attending the reunion and making it such a popular event,” he said. “I hope to see you all next year.
"So many people missed out on tickets this time around, so next time don’t leave it too late.”
