A free year’s membership for Member 9,000!
18th February 2016 – The early arrival of daffodils is a reminder that Spring isn’t far away – and when it arrives, it’ll bring with it a long list of gardening chores, like getting rid of your garden waste.
If the thought of lugging heavy bags of grass clippings, plants, weeds, small branches, leaf fall and the like to the local tip turns you off, there is a simple answer: join Surrey Heath’s popular, affordable and efficient Green Waste Club.
Currently Over 8,500 residents subscribe to the Surrey Heath service, and to mark the next milestone, a year’s free membership is being offered to the 9,000th resident that joins. That’s another good reason to sign up soon - and if you’re already part of the Club, don’t forget to renew your membership so that you continue getting all its benefits.
The Club, which is operated by experienced waste contractor Biffa, collects garden waste every fortnight for recycling into compost and soil conditioner, rather than being sent to expensive landfill.
Club membership starts from just £4.50 per month, and there are a number of payment options and subscription periods available. Neighbours with small gardens can also share a membership, reducing the cost even further. In return, you’ll receive a 240 litre wheeled bin which the Club’s cheery crew collect and empty every two weeks.
And there’s more – as a Green Waste Club member, you also get quarterly emailed newsletters, an informative and easy-to-use website, and exclusive offers, such as discounts for recommending a friend, as well as money-off on purchases at an online eco store.
But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what some members of the Green Waste Club say:
“Your service is always excellent, on time, and your operatives are always helpful.“
“Great service, saves having to go to the tip every 5 mins!”
“Don’t know how we coped before we joined the Green Waste Club.”
In a survey of Club members conducted last year, over 96% said they were satisfied with the Green Waste Club and the reliability of its fortnightly service, while over nine out of 10 also felt the Club delivered value-for-money.
Nationally, Green Waste Club members have so far helped to recycle over 95,000 tonnes of garden waste, so improving the environment and reducing refuse disposal costs.
