Fantastic Performing Arts Workshops at Camberley Theatre for October Half Term

Camberley Theatre is hosting some fantastic performing arts workshops during October Half Term. They are a must for students who are seriously thinking of extending their education and career into theatre, film and television.

Ever wanted to know what it takes to audition successfully for the UK’s top drama schools? Well now you can! We are running a 3-day workshop, from Monday 26 October to Wednesday 28 October, led by Jade Matthew from the internationally-renown Arts Education School in Chiswick. Jade has appeared in some of BBC's most well known radio and television dramas such as 'The Archers' and 'Doctors'.

The first day will look at acting techniques and theories and how best to apply these within your performance. Day two will concentrate on working with text both contemporary and Shakespeare. The final day will is the audition. This will include a mock audition as well as facing the panel. Students will need to come prepared with two contrasting monologues (contemporary and Shakespeare). Each day runs from 10am–4pm and costs £150 for the full three days.

If working behind the curtain is more your scene, then why not try our ‘Techie Workshop’ on Friday 30 October. Learn how to design, rig and operate theatre lights and sound with Camberley’s professional crew. This workshop runs from 12pm-4pm and costs £60.
