Superfast Surrey is extending the fibre broadband network to homes and businesses across the county where it isn’t economically viable for commercial companies to provide access. Funded through Surrey County Council, BT and BDUK (Broadband delivery UK), the project will have a huge positive impact on the economic and social development of Surrey – an economic benefit calculated at more than £30m (World Bank estimate – based on GDP) every year.
As well as improving local economies, fibre broadband will change the way people work, connect and communicate by supporting new ways of flexible working and bringing a huge boost to our rural businesses.
The majority of the Superfast Surrey fibre deployment will be completed by the end of 2014. It is anticipated that by end March 2015 around 84,000 homes and businesses will be covered by the new fibre network.
With fibre broadband you can connect with family and friends in high definition using Skype or Facetime. Download a movie in the time it takes to pop your popcorn. Upload you photos in a snap. Beat the queues and bag a bargain from your armchair.
Don't get left behind. Get connected in 3 easy steps:
1) Speak to your internet service provider about the fibre services they offer
2) Upgrade to the package that's right for you
3) Start enjoying your new services
