More than 150 delegates have come together to find out the winners of the Surrey Heath Business Awards 2015.
Returning for a second year, the awards showcase the achievements of organisations and businesses all around the borough, from Chobham to Camberley.
Recognising the great people and ideas that keep the local economy thriving, the winners were announced during a special ceremony held at the Camberley Theatre on Friday.
This year included a new category Best Village or Rural Business. The six categories and their winners were:
Best New Business - Spotlighting new and emerging businesses.
Winner: Little Local Deli
Marketing Success - Creative and innovative marketing with measurable results.
Winner: Collectively Camberley
Best Export Business - Businesses large or small showing growth through exports, bringing investment to the borough.
Winner: Frazer Nash
Developing Talent - Recognising businesses that provide opportunities for personal development.
Winner: Roles Broderick Roofing
Social/Environmental Responsibility - Highlighting organisations who take responsibility towards the community and the environment.
Winner: Urban Car Spa
Best Village or Rural Business – Spotlighting businesses located in rural or village areas
Winner: The Inn at West End
Each of the winners received a specially commissioned award.
Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council, Councillor Moira Gibson said: “These awards highlight everything that's positive about the borough’s dynamic local economy and celebrate the innovative, hard-working people and businesses that exist in the local area. It was also fantastic to see such a wide range of businesses from all parts of the borough entering the different categories.
“We’re keen to highlight that these awards aren’t just for the urban parts of the borough and that’s why we introduced a new category this year to recognise the economic vitality of our villages and rural areas.
“The judging panel were very impressed by the quality of the many entries so congratulations to all those that were shortlisted and won an award.”
