Camberley Theatre are delighted to announce that their 2016 pantomime will be a sparkling interpretation of the much loved story of Cinderella. Following 2015’s Aladdin which won rave reviews and became the theatre’s most successful pantomime ever;
Camberley Theatre hopes to make this year’s pantomime ever bigger and better than ever!
Each year the theatre joins forces with a local charity to help raise them money over the festive period. This year’s charity Challengers really is the perfect fit.
Challengers are dedicated to providing exciting and challenging play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people. They do this through their play and youth centres in Guildford and Farnham and through their range of community based projects across Surrey and, increasingly, the surrounding areas.
Community Fundraising Manager, Phoebe Day said “Challengers is delighted to have been chosen as the recipient charity of Cinderella. Any proceeds received will support local families in the South East that rely on our essential play and leisure services, ensuring disabled children have somewhere to go to challenge their impairments, make friends and most importantly have buckets of fun! A big magical thank you to everyone at Camberley Theatre and we cannot wait to see the show!”
Andy Edmeads, Operations Manager at Camberley Theatre said “We were delighted with the response from last year’s pantomime and are really excited to be working on making Cinderella even better! It is our 50th anniversary this year, so what better way to celebrate than with the most magical pantomime of them all?! Pantomime is a really special family occasion which is the highlight of the festive season, so we are looking forward to supporting Disability Challengers this year and raising money and awareness for this excellent charity”.
