Camberley Theatre welcomes The Wugly Sisters in this year’s pantomime

This year Camberley Theatre will present a sparkling interpretation of the much loved pantomime, Cinderella. Following 2015’s Aladdin which won rave reviews and became the theatre’s most successful pantomime ever; Camberley Theatre hopes to make this year’s pantomime ever bigger and better than ever!

The theatre is very pleased to make their first casting announcement. The Wugly Sisters whose names are Dot and Babs will play Cinderella’s wicked Step-Sisters who will do everything in their power to make sure Cinderella won’t go to the ball.

Dot and Babs are not just ugly they’re ‘well-ugly’ or Wugly! The Wugly Sisters, are created and performed by Steve King and Olly Taylor, who combine the collective experience of television, theatre, puppetry and magic, to originate and create their own unique, amazing costumes!

Dot and Babs said: “We are thrilled to be gracing Camberley with our presence this Christmas. Aside from being fabulous in the show and keeping Cinderella in check, we will also be doing a good turn for the people of Camberley by bringing much needed glamour and sparkle to the dowdy masses. You lucky people."

In addition to this, each year Camberley Theatre joins forces with a local charity to help raise them money over the festive period. This year is no different. The theatre will be supporting Challengers charity. Challengers are dedicated to providing exciting and challenging play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people. They do this through their play and youth centres in Guildford and Farnham and through their range of community based projects across Surrey.

Will Cinderella make it to the ball? Will the glass slipper fit? Will Cinders and Prince Charming live happily ever after?
