CAMBERLEY BUSINESSES UNDER THE WATCHFUL EYE OF MYSTERY SHOPPERS OVER SEPTEMBER

The businesses of Camberley are being put through their paces throughout September with a series of mystery shopping visits. Collectively Camberley, the team behind Camberley’s Business Improvement District (BID) have partnered with national retail analysts Storecheckers UK to offer a completely free of charge in-depth programme of mystery shopping visits with over 60 of the towns’ retailers. Each business taking part will receive a mystery shopper visiting them either in store, contacting them via telephone or via emails; replicating the usual manner in which their customers transact with them. Following the visit, the participating business will then get a complimentary one to one feedback session with Storecheckers allowing them to work on how best to serve customers in the future.

Collectively Camberley first introduced the project to Camberley in 2014 and followed the feedback reports with a series of tailored workshops that were again free of charge to the BID businesses. These workshops were focused around customer service and staff training and resulted in many of the towns businesses becoming WorldHost accredited in Customer Service.

BID Manager for Collectively Camberley, Lucy Boazman, says;

“Collectively Camberley are more commonly known for our fantastic events like The Car Show or The Christmas Light Switch On. However, we offer a huge programme of business support initiatives including Mystery Shopping to support our local businesses within the BID area. There has been a terrific response and we’re happy to say that we have a significantly higher number of businesses than last year getting involved, but better still; a wide range of firms from nationals to independents.”

“…This project is a fantastic way for every business to understand their customer experience, congratulate themselves and their teams on the successes and learn of areas that may need some improvement. All working towards creating a fantastic customer experience for not only their business – but the town centre as a whole which benefits everyone”

Collectively Camberley are also offering participating businesses an added incentive to strive for the best in this project. By getting involved with the mystery shopping the businesses are automatically entered into the “Highest Rated for Mystery Shopping” Award at the hotly anticipated LoveCamberley Town Centre Business Awards 2015. The BID team will be hosting the 2nd LoveCamberley business awards on the on Wednesday 11th November. The evening is held to recognise and honour those businesses that have gone above and beyond throughout the year, with regards to Camberley Town Centre and contributing towards making it a fantastic destination of choice.
