Surrey Police arrest Camberley man in his 20s on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.

Police searching for missing Camberley woman Charmaine Thomas have found a woman's body and arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Charmaine, 31, has not been in contact with her family since last Wednesday (July 8). On Friday (July 17), Surrey Police launched an appeal for information to help find her.

On Sunday (July 19), a police spokesman said: "On Saturday, officers discovered a body at a property in Camberley and although it has not been formally identified, Charmaine's family have been informed.

"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this extremely difficult time."

Surrey Police revealed on Sunday that the results of a post-mortem examination carried out on the body were inconclusive and further analysis was needed.

A local man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and remains in police custody while the investigation continues.
