The festive season started in style this weekend, as lots of fun arrived at The Mall, Camberley as part of the town centre Christmas Light Switch On, and there was a very special guest.

Bob the Builder appeared at The Mall on Saturday 14th November, meeting young shoppers and having his picture taken with them at intervals throughout the day. The Secret Stage also helped to spread the Christmas cheer with dance performances at The Mall and the chance to meet the cast of this year’s Aladdin pantomime at Camberley Theatre.

“We had lots of fun celebrating the start of Christmas at The Mall this weekend, with lots of fun and entertainment for all ages of shoppers to enjoy!” said Joana Santos, Marketing Manager at The Mall, Camberley. “From now until Christmas Eve there’s lots more for visitors to enjoy, including late night shopping, arts & crafts and much more. We look forward to welcoming lots of shoppers to The Mall soon.”

Late Night Shopping begins this Thursday (19th November), where The Mall will be open until 8pm*. Every shopper spending £50 or more after 5.30pm will also receive a fantastic free gift. From 3pm to 8pm on late night shopping nights, children can also get ready for Christmas with free arts & crafts in The Square.

Younger shoppers can get their Christmas lists to Santa in early this year, with free letter writing to Santa in The Square every day until Christmas Eve. Santa is also arriving in his Grotto every day from 5th December, with shoppers able to pre-book their visit at
