An enormous thank you to all the residents of Surrey Heath and surrounding areas who contributed to our Christmas Appeal for Local Charities. Your generosity enabled us to collect over £7000 which is being donated to Surrey Young Carer's, Parity for Disability, Camberley Care and 4th Camberley Scouts.
They are all very small charities in Surrey Heath, who provide essential services to the young, the aged and disabled members of our local community. This money will assist them substantially to continue to provide these services in 2015.
Many children were delighted to see Santa touring their street, and all were able to check that they were on his 'good' list and would be visited by Santa on Christmas Eve. Parents enjoyed our Christmas Carols and a chat with Santa when they were doing their Christmas shopping at The Meadows, Longacres, Sainsbury's at Watchmoor Park and Sainsbury's at Bagshot Road.
Special thanks to Colin Amos, MD of VOLUMATIC who kindly provided a coin counting machine, without which the task of counting tens of thousands of coins would have been extremely arduous.
